Why did the venue or artist website send me to Etix?

Many venues and event organizers use Etix as their official ticketing provider. The venue or artist may promote the event on its own website but direct you to Etix when you're ready to select and purchase tickets.
If you followed the ticket link from the venue, artist or event's official website and it directs you to Etix.com, that is a good indication that Etix is the authorized ticketing provider for that event.
